NEW DELHI: The Noida Police have arrested Mukesh Khurana, the promoter of Rudra Group, after an FIR was registered against him for allegedly duping home buyers.
Khurana, who has several projects in Delhi-NCR, was arrested following an FIR registered by a home buyer Sunita Singh in relation to Pavo Real Project of M/s Rudra Buildwell Reality Pvt. Ltd.
Khurana is likely to be produced before a court on Wednesday, after his medical examination by the Noida Police. The Rudra Group, of which M/s Rudra Buildwell Reality Pvt. Ltd. is a part, has various projects which are also reported to be delayed.
The FIR was registered in relation to the Pava Real Housing Project in Indirapuram.
The complainant has alleged that she was in need of a flat to make arrangements for her son’s higher education.
The complainant was induced by the enticing advertisements by M/s Rudra Buildwell Realty Pvt. Ltd. and M/s UM Architectures Contracters Ltd. of providing flats in Ghaziabad, the complaint said.
It further claimed that Khurana had in 2014 promised to give economical and good flats in his Pavo Real Project.
Khurana had promised to provide a flat to the complainant immediately, however, no such flat was provided.
In fact, the allegations are that even after six years, no construction has started and no flat has been provided to the complainant, nor has the money paid by her been refunded.
Khurana is facing several proceedings as even earlier various complaints have been filed by various home buyers for delay in delivery of Rudra’s Serra Bella/Pavo Real Housing Project in Indirapuram. The Delhi Police had investigated his role in this and a charge-sheet was filed against him.
Rakesh Kumar Wadhavan, who is the main accused in the PMC scam, was also summoned over his alleged role in HR Infracity Pvt Ltd.
The company is also reported to be under the scanner of the Enforcement Directorate in the PMC scam case and Mukesh Khurana was a Director in this company too.
