NEW DELHI: Engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) on Tuesday said its construction arm has bagged an order worth Rs 2210 crore for construction of a bridge across the Krishna river in Andhra Pradesh.
A major turnkey order has been received from Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA),
Government of Madhya Pradesh, for the execution of Narmada – Kshipra multipurpose project to lift 15 cumecs of water from the Omkareshwar reservoir, of which 10 cumecs will help bring
30,000 Hectares of land under irrigation. The remaining 5 cumecs of water will cater to domestic & industrial use in the Dewas, Ujjain & Shajapur districts of Madhya Pradesh. The scope of works
includes survey, design, procurement, construction & installation of pumping systems, rising
mains, transmission and distribution pipeline networks, outlet management systems, electrical
power transmission lines and automation systems by SCADA. This is a repeat order from NVDA.
Another prestigious EPC order has been received from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for the execution of an Integrated Effluent Treatment Plant (IETP) for Visakh refinery modernisation project at Vishakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
The project covers all modern technologies related to oil removal from refinery effluent, which includes SBR based treatment of 1000 m3/hr refinery effluent, MBR based sewage treatment system, Wet Air Oxidation based spent caustic treatment system and Volatile Organic Compound control system. The scope of work includes basic and detailed engineering, procurement & supply, construction, erection, installation, testing, commissioning of the IETP, which will cater to the future requirements of existing projects and replace all existing ETPs of the Visakh refinery.
Heavy Civil Infrastructure Business:
The Business has secured orders worth Rs 166 Crore. L&T Geostructure, an arm of the Heavy civil Infrastructure business, has received a turnkey order from the Water Resources Department, Madhya Pradesh for the execution of a composite gravity dam across the river Runj. The scope comprises design and execution of the composite gravity dam 1176 m long with a height of 45 m, including spillway.
