NEW DELHI: After a prolonged wait, the state government has constituted Real Estate Regulatory Authority ( RERA) in Bihar by appointing senior IAS (retd) Afzal Amanullah as the chairman of the authority.
Other members of the newly constituted body, empowered to regulate real estate activities in the state, include Dr Subodh Kumar Sinha, IES (retd) and Rajiv Bhushan Sinha ( IAS) (retd).
The formation of the regulatory authority will now ensure strict compliance of the Real Estate (regulation and development) act, 2016 under which promoters/ builders have to compulsorily register with the authority and get permission for starting their new projects.
