NEW DELHI (INDIA): India’s Road Transport & Highways and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari today laid the foundation stone for the second bridge over Brahmani river in Odisha’s Rourkela.
Among others, PNG Minister Dharmendra Pradhan & Tribal Jual Oram and Rourkela MLA Dillip Ray were present.
For the second bridge over Brahmani river, government of India has sanctioned Rs 476 crore for the 6-lane bridge.

Besides the Brahmani bridge, foundation stone was also laid for four laning of Birmitrapur-Brahmani bypass end section on NH-23 (New NH-143).
It was possible because of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Two months ago, Patnaik had urged the Narendra Modi government to soon take up construction of a second bridge over the river Brahmani in view of the bad condition of the existing one.
