ABU DHABI: The Pakistan property exhibition organised by the Jang Group opened in Abu Dhabi yesterday. It was inaugurated by HE Khalifa bin Salim Al-Mansoori, Under Secretary for Economic Development of the UAE, and Pakistan Ambassador to the UAE Moazzam Khan. Many leading real estate and property developers from Pakistan are participating in the exhibition which is being held for three days at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
Speaking to the Jang Group, Khalifa Salim Al-Mansoori said that he was pleased to welcome the Pakistani exhibitors to the exhibition and wished them success. He said he was happy to note that the number of Pakistani companies participating in the exhibition had doubled from last year.
The Pakistani ambassador to the UAE appreciated the Jang Group for taking the initiative to organise the Pakistan Property Exhibition. He said that the exhibition provided an opportunity to the Pakistanis living in the UAE to look at various property options in Pakistan. He said the real estate sector was growing rapidly and the returns that it provided to investors was one of the best in the world.
The Federal Minister for Housing, Akram Khan Durrani, visited the Pakistan property exhibition on the second day. Talking to The News, the federal minister appreciated the Jang Group for providing opportunities to expat Pakistanis for investing in a home in Pakistan. He said that the economy is growing and it is positively affecting the real estate prices. “This is the time to invest in property in Pakistan,” he stated.
He was of the view that CPEC was a window of opportunity for Pakistan and Pakistani expats should take full advantage of infrastructural development related to CPEC. He also added that presently there was an annual demand of 500,000 housing units in the country, which is likely to grow up to 2 million units in the years to come as infrastructural development takes place around CPEC. Thousands of Pakistanis living in Abu Dhabi visited the exhibition. The exhibition will conclude today.
